Penile Cancer Guidelines

Penile cancer accounts for 0.4% to 0.6% of all malignant neoplasms in the United States and Europe.
In 2010, an estimated 1250 new cases of penile cancer were diagnosed in the United States and there were about 310 related deaths.

Response Rate

For carcinoma in situ and superficial verrucous carcinoma, the response rate at 5 years with 5-fluorouracil or imiquimod was 60% to 70% (World J Urol. 2009; 27:179-187).
